The Wyoming 50 Goldback celebrates Libertas, the embodiment of Liberty, through a modern yet timeless vision set amid the rugged wilderness of Yellowstone National Park. This design draws inspiration from the biblical figure Deborah—the Lady of Torches—reimagined in contemporary form as a hiker whose flashlight symbolizes illumination, truth, and guidance in modern times.

At the center, Libertas strides confidently along the Yellowstone landscape, equipped for both journey and defense. In her right hand, she carries a walking staff; a canteen and pack accompany her, while a sword hangs from her gear and a shield rests at her feet. Each element reflects the enduring need to guard liberty with courage, vigilance, and preparedness.

Around her, wild raspberry blossoms bloom, celebrating resilience and renewal. The iconic eruptions of Old Faithful and the cascading waters of Osprey Falls provide a dramatic backdrop, emphasizing the awe-inspiring grandeur of Wyoming’s natural heritage.
